About

Hi there, my name is Alex. A random human being on a journey to decipher the matrix. Just kidding. Or maybe not. After all, the point of Artlas Studio is to keep you wondering if there is indeed a plot.

Here, you will find a compilation of illustrated riddles. The answers to those riddles lie somewhere hidden in the drawing.

Why illustrate the riddles?

Short answer: Drawing is therapeutic for me, the artist. It also gives you, the observer, a clue.

Long answer: I’d like to incentivize observers to use their faculty of reason when engaging with art. “What is the message of the piece?”, “What is it trying to convey?”. Historically, the answer to these questions has been left to the discretion of the observer, subject to their interpretation. At Artlas Studio, I want the observer to engage in an active game of discovery with the artist.

Where can I submit my answer?
